Update FAADC V1.1 FABS Report The FAADC application shall be updated to ensure the following requirement is implemented:
  • When the Assistance Type is Grants or Cooperative Agreements (AssistanceType = 02, 03, 04, or 05) and no value is provided for the ‘Funding Opportunity Number’, then the text “NOT APPLICABLE” will be mapped to the ‘Funding Opportunity Number’ column in the FABS Extract.
  • When the Assistance Type is Grants or Cooperative Agreements (AssistanceType = 02, 03, 04, or 05) and no value is provided for the ‘Funding Opportunity Goals Text’, then the text “NOT APPLICABLE” will be mapped to the ‘Funding Opportunity Goals Text’ column in the FABS Extract.

Further clarification

  • When the Assistance Type is non-Grants or non-Cooperative Agreements (AssistanceType = 06, 07, 08, 09, 10 or 11), a NULL value will be mapped to the ‘Funding Opportunity Number’ and ‘Funding Opportunity Goals Text’ columns in the FABS Extract. This is current behavior and will remain unchanged.
  • The FABS Extract will treat the values of empty or blank in either the ‘Funding Opportunity Number’ or ‘Funding Opportunity Goals Text’ data element as null, and the text “Not Applicable” shall be mapped to the respective column(s) in the FABS Extract.
  • The conversion of lowercase letters to uppercase for the Funding Opportunity Number will continue for user-entered values.

IAEREQ-9731/IAEMOD-27631 FAADC issue with Action Type The FAADC application shall be updated to replace the existing validation rule of FAADC:2D3 – "Period of Performance End Date" cannot be earlier than the "Action Date".

The new validation rule will be FAADC:2D6When the “Action Type” is “New Assistance Award”, “Continuation” or “Entity Change”, the "Period of Performance End Date" cannot be earlier than the "Action Date".

This rule change will be effective for any Action Date and allow users to report Amendments for administrative changes after the period of performance has ended when the Action Type is “Revision” or “Funding Adjustment to a completed project”
